How-to Article Due on Tuesday, October 14th

Hello Parents of 6th Grade Grammar Gators! Your children have been learning how to write a How-to Article in grammar class. The information we have covered is in their textbook, Voyages in English, on pages 248-269. Then, pages 274-285 cover the prewriting, editing,revising,and publishing of the article. I tell you this in case you should have any questions about what we are doing and what my expectations are. Your children also have a rubric showing how they will be graded. We have been using laptops in order to find material for the topics chosen by your children. The students know that plagiarism is a no-no! So, I am comfortable in knowing that material won't be taken from the internet and copied word-for-word. Examples of completed How-to Articles can be found on pages 248-249 of our text. Requirements are as follows (please ask your child to see the rubric, also): The final paper is due on Tuesday, October 14th. It is to be double- spaced, size 14 font (Arial Black font, please), and paragraphs are to be indented. If materials or supplies are a part of the article, they are to be put on a separate sheet (typed). If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. I am excited to see the finished products.
